You are welcome here
At St. Thomas the Apostle
Welcome to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church
We’re grateful you’re here. Whether you’re visiting for the first time, returning after some time away, or seeking a spiritual home, St. Thomas the Apostle is a place where you are welcomed, known, and loved. Our parish community in Hyde Park is rooted in vibrant worship, thoughtful preaching, joyful hospitality, and a deep commitment to living the Gospel.
What to Expect When You Visit
When you arrive, you’ll find a diverse and friendly community gathered for prayer. Our liturgies are celebrated with reverence, beautiful music, and a spirit of genuine warmth. Greeters and parishioners are always happy to help you find your way, whether it’s your seat, the restrooms, or our parish hall for fellowship after Mass. Come as you are—there’s no dress code, no expectations, and no pressure. Simply enter, take a breath, and allow God’s presence to meet you.
Our 4 PM Saturday Mass is a convenient time to worship in the midst of the busyness of the weekend. You’ll find a mix of senior, students, and families who take time out of their week to worship God and to thank God for all God has done and is doing in their lives.
Our 8 AM Sunday Mass brings a mix of our parishioners and neighbors to start their Sunday morning, thanking God for all of God’s gifts.
Our 10 AM Mass on Sunday draws the largest crowd, with many families and children. This is our principal celebration on Sunday, which includes the choir and incense used in the liturgy. Our community sings with full hearts, and you are very welcome to participate in this vibrant liturgy.
Whether you join us for Sunday Mass, a weekday liturgy, or one of our parish events, we’re honored to pray with you and walk with you in faith. Welcome home.
