Information for
Lent and Holy Week
Pray with us this Lent
Lent is a time of prayer fasting and almsgiving. It is a time for us to be intentional with our relationship with God as we use this time to prepare our hearts for the joy of the resurrection of the Lord at Easter.
Prayer deepens our relationship with the Lord. Through quiet reflection, Scripture, the Eucharist, and personal conversation with God, we open our hearts to His grace and guidance.
Join us each Sunday for worship and during the week for our Soup and Substance which allows us to come together for some mid-week prayer
Prayer
Fast
Fasting creates space for God. By freely choosing self-denial—whether from food, habits, or distractions—we unite ourselves more closely to Christ’s sacrifice and learn to rely more fully on Him.
Almsgiving
Almsgiving turns our hearts outward. In sharing our time, resources, and compassion with those in need, we reflect the generous love of Christ and strengthen the bonds of our parish and wider community.
St. Thomas is partnering with Catholic Extension Society to support the Church in Puerto Rico, specifically the Hogar Infantil Santa Teresita del Niño Jesús.
Santa Teresita Home for Children was founded in 1999 by a parish to care for abused and neglected children by providing a loving, safe, and caring home for them to be able to receive the necessary to have a good quality of life in spite of their circumstances.
